It's easy to

   GIVE

Join your business peers and positively impact kids' lives through art and mentoring. It's an easy way to invest in a preventive strategy that makes our neighborhoods safer, and builds our community and economy.

This year (2009-10) our Business Art Circle will be part of our innovative marketing and community-wide story telling campaign called "What's Your Story". The campaign is a unique effort that will invite the community–at–large to tell stories—personal or community—or to suggest compelling stories that youth in our programs might tell through video, audio, writing, and photography.  The project will be supported by an interactive website that will launch in late–September. Stories will also be gathered by youth at community events, such as the Abbot Kinney Festival where we will launch the campaign in September 2009.

The print and electronic campaign for What’s Your Story includes a series of 5 beautiful print pieces that will be mailed, over the course of one year, to over 6,000 Los Angeles–area households. Each will feature art created by a student in our programs and tell the young artist’s story. Each will also be sent electronically to over 3,000 unique email addresses. Both will share the impact of Venice Arts’ work on the lives of low–income youth, and serve as an invitation to support or get involved with Venice Arts and the What’s Your Story campaign. The logos of Sponsors giving $5,000 or more will be included on these cards, as well as on our websites and other collaterals. We also plan a media awareness effort targeting print and online outlets.

Our Culminating Celebration, scheduled for October 2010, will feature student work from the project, as well as the most compelling pieces by community participants; a photo auction by some of the most outstanding photographers working in the field; delicious food, wine, and entertainment. We will also be honoring several of our “Angels” — individuals and corporations who have made significant contributions to the lives of children through their support of Venice Arts. Sponsors of What’s Your Story will, of course, receive tickets to this event.

Your support makes the difference.
