    Surfers at Venice Beach

    On August 15th, Venice Arts will host a special event for the arts community. Congresswoman Jane Harman will award 8 of Venice Arts' young artists, 6 of whom have been with us for 10 years, Congressional Awards for their creative achievements. The public is invited to attend.     Neal Baer, M.D. and Joe LaCroix join Board
    Neal introducing Venice Arts

    Welcome to new Board members Neal Baer, M.D. (seen right introducing Venice Arts at Venice Family Clinic Gala, 2004) and Joe LaCroix. Neal, a Harvard?trained physician and award?winning television writer and producer, is currently the showrunner and executive producer of Law and Order:SVU. He is also a co?creator of Venice Arts' Social Art Initiative "The House is Small" and is currently in Kenya and Mozambique exploring expanding the project there. Joe is a local realtor who has been a long-time Venice Arts' supporter and Business Art Circle member. Joe will be helping Venice Arts to better meet its facility needs, as well as introducing Venice Arts to other businesses and individuals who might be interested in supporting our programs

    Venice Arts at International AIDS Conference, Toronto
    The House is Small

    Documentary photos by HIV positive South African women, from our Cape Town project "The House is Small but the Welcome is Big," will be exhibited in August in Toronto at Gallery 44, hosted by the International AIDS Conference. It will then return to L.A. to open at the Venice Arts Gallery (November), before traveling, again, nationally and internationally.
