We are proud to report that three films by Venice Arts' students have been selected to screen at the Santa Monica Teen Film Festival this weekend! The festival takes place on June 9 & 10, 2012, with matinee and evening screenings at the Miles Memorial Playhouse & the Santa Monica Public Library. Samuel Bruce’s film, Our Town Today: L.A. Daze, which he made in our Youth Media Crew class last year, will be screened during the Saturday evening screening, 7-10:30pm at the Miles Memorial Playhouse.
Two films by Venice Arts’ students will be shown at the Sunday matinee screening, 2-5pm, at the Santa Monica Public Library: Jocelyn Ramirez, Kate Squires and Ethan Stockwell’s film about Venice-based sound designer and Venice Arts supporter Robert Feist and Chelsea Ramirez’s animated film, Loathe to Depart, which she made in the My Life As a Movie class last year.
